Sunrise Police officers responded to the call and began searching for the missing mother. They located Sabogal approximately two miles away at a shopping plaza, leaving her young children unattended in the care of a stranger for an extended period.

The Uber driver remained with the children throughout the incident, effectively babysitting them until police could reunite the family. Body camera footage from the Sunrise Police Department documented the response and investigation.

Sabogal faces multiple charges related to the incident, including child neglect without great bodily harm and two counts of desertion of a child. She was arrested and later released after posting $3,000 bond. The case remains active in the Broward County court system.
