Two suspects were arrested by the Flagler County Sheriff's Office after a detective witnessed a suspected drug transaction at a Wawa gas station on State Road 100 in Palm Coast on August 13.

A detective with the FCSO Problem Area Crime Enforcement Unit observed a suspicious incident in the parking lot near Flagler Palm Coast High School. The detective noticed a white Infiniti sedan pull into the parking lot, followed by a male who arrived on an electric scooter.

After the detective witnessed what appeared to be a drug transaction between the occupants of the vehicle and the scooter rider, both suspects attempted to flee the scene. The Infiniti sedan departed the parking lot while the male on the electric scooter also tried to escape.

Law enforcement officers successfully apprehended both individuals after a brief pursuit. According to the sheriff's office, one of the arrested suspects is a known offender with a previous criminal history.

The incident occurred in the afternoon near the high school, highlighting ongoing drug enforcement efforts in the area. The Problem Area Crime Enforcement Unit specifically targets locations known for criminal activity and drug-related offenses.

Both suspects face drug-related charges following their arrest. The case remains under investigation by the Flagler County Sheriff's Office.
