A recently released felon was arrested for selling fentanyl and cocaine outside Carver Gym in Bunnell, Florida on May 6, according to Flagler County Sheriff's Office bodycam footage.
Corporal Green observed a white Nissan sedan with dark window tint exit the gym parking lot at approximately 7:40 p.m. without making a complete stop. The vehicle had been spotted in the parking lot near picnic tables, an area known to law enforcement as a location where drug transactions frequently occur.
Through the windshield, the officer observed a Black male driver wearing a fanny pack across his chest. The suspect's vehicle and behavior in the known drug activity area prompted the traffic stop and subsequent investigation.
During the encounter, officers discovered fentanyl and cocaine in the suspect's possession. The arrest came shortly after the individual had been released from custody on previous charges, highlighting concerns about repeat offenses in the area.
The Carver Gym parking lot has been under increased surveillance due to its reputation as a location where illegal drug sales take place. Law enforcement has focused patrol efforts in the area to combat ongoing narcotics activity.
The suspect faces charges related to possession and sale of controlled substances. The case remains active with the Flagler County Sheriff's Office.
